What is HarumAI?
A desktop IDE for Windows with an AI agent built in. The agent reads your project, plans, edits files and runs commands with the model provider you choose. Every edit arrives as a diff you can review and undo, and every command asks before it runs.
Is HarumAI free?
Yes. The HarumAI app is free to use, for personal and business work. You pay your model provider directly for the models you use.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in with a HarumAI account. It holds your preferences and, when you use Cloud, your conversations.
Platforms
Which systems does HarumAI run on?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64 bit (x64). From Windows, HarumAI can also work in a WSL distribution or on another machine over SSH. A macOS or Linux app is not available yet.
Why does Windows SmartScreen warn me about the installer?
The installer is not code signed yet, so Windows does not recognise the publisher. Check that the file's SHA-256 matches the one on the download page, then choose More info and Run anyway.
Model providers
Which model providers can I use?
Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter and many more. You add your own key for each one in Settings, Providers, and choose the model per task.
Who bills me for model usage?
The provider whose key you use, under that provider's own prices and terms. HarumAI does not resell model access through your key.
Privacy and data
Where are my provider keys kept?
On your computer, in the operating system's encrypted storage. A key travels only with the request it is for, only to that provider's own host. HarumAI's server never stores it, not in a database, a log or a transcript.
Are my conversations sent to a server?
It depends on the backend you choose. With Cloud, conversations are stored with your HarumAI account so you can open them on any device. With Local, the HarumAI engine runs on your computer and conversations stay in a database there. Files over 1 MB stay on your device in both cases.
Does HarumAI collect telemetry?
Traces and error reports are kept on your device by default. They are sent to HarumAI's server only if you turn that on in Settings, Observability.
Offline use
Can I use HarumAI offline?
Partly. The Local engine checks your account when it can reach HarumAI and keeps working for up to 7 days without that check. The model still has to be reachable: with Local you can point HarumAI at a provider on your own network or your own computer.
