Model providers and keys
Which model providers HarumAI supports, how to add your key, where the key is kept and how models are chosen.
HarumAI does not ship a model of its own. You connect the provider you already use, with your own key, and pay that provider directly.
Supported providers
- OpenRouter
- 9Router and OmniRoute, under one entry named 9XOMNI in Settings, Providers
- HarumAI Gateway
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
Add a key
- Open Settings, Providers.
- Choose the provider and paste your API key.
- Enable the models you want to use. If a provider does not say what a model accepts (text, images, audio), tick it yourself so HarumAI knows what it can send.
Where your key is kept
Keys are stored on your computer in the operating system’s encrypted storage, never in plain files or logs. A key is sent only with the request it is for, and only to that provider’s own host. When a request passes through HarumAI’s server, the key passes with it for that one request and is never saved.
Choosing the model
Pick the main model for the chat in the composer. A turn runs only on the model you chose: if that model is unavailable, HarumAI tells you instead of quietly switching to another one. In Models, Orchestration you can give each agent its own model, for example a faster model for helper agents.
Costs
Model usage is billed by the provider whose key you use, at that provider’s prices and under its terms. Check your provider’s dashboard for your spend.
