Troubleshooting
Fixes for the most common problems: the SmartScreen prompt, a rejected key, the Local engine and reporting a bug.
Windows says it protected your PC
The installer is not code signed yet. Check its SHA-256 as described in Installation, then choose More info and Run anyway.
“The API key was rejected”
The provider refused the key. Check that you copied the whole key, that it has not expired or been revoked, and that your account with the provider has credit. Paste it again in Settings, Providers.
The model does not answer
A turn runs only on the model you chose and never switches by itself. If that model is down or your provider limits you, HarumAI says so in the chat. Wait and retry, or pick another model in the composer.
The Local engine is not running
Open Settings, Backend Engine and start it. If it says your account could not be checked, connect to the internet once: the engine works for up to 7 days between checks.
A command keeps asking for approval
That is the permission level doing its job. Choose Always allow on the approval card for commands you trust, or raise the project’s level in Edit project.
Reporting a bug
Use Report Bug in the app, which gathers the details that help, or write to support@harum.ai with your HarumAI version, what you did and what you expected. Security problems go to security@harum.ai, see the Security page.
